An "Adirondack Resort" Experience for You and Your Family and Friends!

Bring your friends and family to the Adirondacks to enjoy the beauty and serenity of the backwoods. And be sure to stay at The Bear's Den, an "Adirondack Resort" with lots of amenities to make your stay a complete blast!

And you don't have to share your location with any other guests, because it's all yours for the extent of your stay. Of course, you'll want to invite your family and friends, and depending on your sleeping arrangements can accommodate up to 20 people.

Lots of Summer Fun

In summer, you'll find a gazebo with a Margaritaville bar, a full sand volleyball court, a water feature with a fire pit in the middle, and three cascading waterfalls. You'll enjoy cooking in the BBQ area with a gas BBQ grill, a meat smoker, a gas flat-top grill, and a wood-fired outdoor pizza oven. There's also a short trail to the west branch of the Sacandaga River, where you'll find a small private sand beach and you can plan a day trip with paddleboards, kayaks, or canoes. And there's so much more to do in the area!

Enjoy the Winter Wonderland

Plus, there's so much to offer in the winter as well. You can snowshoe, cross-country ski, and snowmobile right from the snowmobile trails that connect to the property. And there is downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, and downhill tubing within a 20-minute car ride. And then you get to come back to a cozy cabin, kick off your boots and sit by a roaring fire!

Unique Cozy Bear Cabin

That's just what's on the outside. On the inside, you'll find every bit of bear decor that is known to man, a full restaurant kitchen, full bar, 3 fireplaces, 3 baths, washer and dryer, dishwasher, pool table, several wall games, a huge chandelier, an Adirondack live-edge slab dining table, and even a full mount bear.

Best of all is “The Bears Den,” a forty-foot-long room with 5 full-sized beds surrounded by a woodsy setting and a night sky hand painted on the ceiling. You’ll feel like you’re asleep in the great outdoors.

The property is spacious enough for a large group of people but quaint enough for limited numbers. So if you want a memorable Adirondack experience, this is the place for you. Click here to see the many activities you can do every season.

We had. a great stay at the Bear Den. It used to be a bar/restaurant. The original log cabin beams are exposed giving the place a warm rustic feel along with the gas fireplaces providing extra heat. The pool table was enjoyed by all and the extra space in the room allowed others to chat by the fire. The kids got a kick out of the two old cash registers in the room. The living room is connected to the bar and has a large tv connected to the satellite. There are two more additional televisions... one that you can watch DVD on. The local Doller General had lots of DVDs for purchase.

The bar had every possible glass and mixing utensils you could possibly need. There is a sink under the bar as well. Just be sure to bring extra bags of ice. The water at the Bear's Den has a lot of iron in it and smells strange. Larry has several sinks with filters on them so you have access to clean water and in addition, he provides a large water cooler. Off of the living room, is a bedroom. The room separates from the living room with a heavy curtain. As you go through the swinging kitchen door, you will see an industrial-style kitchen with a coffee area. The kitchen has tons of dishes and utensils. After leaving the kitchen, you will come to the bathroom with a shower and laundry area. Having a large dryer to dry the kids' snow clothes in was really appreciated.

The back staircase takes you up to a platform loft-like area with two additional beds. The focal point of the house is the "official" Bear's Den and this room is incredible. There are five full-size beds in a beautifully decorated room. Each bed has its own nightstand with light and waiting on each bed were cute stuffed bears. The children absolutely loved this room. They had space for their belongings and plenty of room to play. Our dog loved running from one side of the room to another as fast as he could. There is an open window in the room and you can talk to people downstairs in the pool table room.

Outside there are snowmobile trails, we hiked on. The trails are beautiful and the dog loved them most of all. Although the Bear's Den is on the main road it was still quiet. The place is only an hour from Gore Mountain and about 20 minutes from Lapland. Throughout the place, you will find whimsical touches like artwork, signs, and knickknacks. Our son and his cousins are asking when they can go back. It is not every day you can sleepover in a rustic restaurant with a bar and a real bear.
